ARCHEOLOGIA POSTMEDIEVALE is a journal that publishes articles related to post-Medieval archaeology, the history of material culture, urban history and applied sciences. The journal aims to include theoretical discussions about historiography and research strategies, the increase in the dialogue between sources of different types (archival, archaeological, archeometric, oral and anthropological) which is a characteristic feature of post-Medieval archaeology and its strong point in historiographic reconstruction.
The journal also promotes the development of field research, and the interest in and guardianship of this significant portion of the archaeological heritage which is often ignored by the state institutions and subject to continued misuse. The articles in the journal are organized by subject matter; the sections are related to Anthropology, Archaeology and urban history, industrial archaeology, material culture, territorial archaeology. The editors reserve the right to assign the articles they receive, with the permission of the author, to the most appropriate section of the journal.
