• The series is directed by scholars from the Universities of Bologna, Milano Statale, Pavia, Perugia and Udine, who have long been engaged in investigating the various aspects of Romanism in northern Italy. It intends to provide an opportunity for comparison between various methodological approaches and different excavation and research experiences, and to present new data useful for deepening the knowledge of the region in Roman times in its historical, artistic and social aspects. Methods and corpora studies of classes of materials never systematically addressed or largely unpublished will be privileged. In the series, investigations on building techniques, urban systems, iconographic and iconological studies, research on problems of art and artistic craftsmanship and on the production and distribution of everyday objects will find space.
