Volume 29 opens with the publication of the Proceedings of the Conference “The archaeological data. Accessibility, ownership, dissemination "(Rome, CNR, 23 May 2017), curated by Marco Arizza, Valeria Boi, Alessandra Caravale, Augusto Palombini and Alessandra Piergrossi. The Proceedings collect 14 contributions from scholars from the CNR, the University and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, who have given rise to a debate on the topic of documentation and dissemination of the results of archaeological research. Following are 11 articles by Italian and foreign scholars who illustrate interdisciplinary archaeological research in which the use of information technologies is crucial for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of data. Statistical analysis techniques, databases, GIS and spatial analysis, three-dimensional survey techniques and virtual reconstructions, multimedia systems, help to document the testimonies of the past and to disseminate the results of scientific research. The section dedicated to notes and reviews closes the volume.
