The contributions that make up the volume, different by disciplinary sector of origin and by viewing angle, concern the history of the house in the Roman world and its indicators, understood as a piece of the history of the city. The setting of the work follows, in the general structure and in the individual contributions, two main paths: thematic (living in the Roman world - to which a summary framework on the forms of living in the city in the Cisalpina by R. Helg is dedicated and an in-depth study on the territorial area corresponding to the current Romagna by Sara Graziani), and regional (the Cisalpina documentation - which represents the heart of the volume and was conceived as a contribution to the archaeological map of Popili Forum), treated in the complex work of Alessia Morigi that is part of that line of research that reinterprets the archaeological map as a tool for historical reconstruction and for planning landscape management. The volume closes with a contribution by Marzia Ceccaglia who presents the complete catalog of flooring found in the territory of the ancient Popili Forum.
