Description
The research on the landscapes and architecture of Vobarno was developed starting from a Summer School held in July 2015. It was attended by students from the University of Padua and members of the cultural group “Let's revive Vobarno”. The result is a reconstruction of the ways of conquering and managing a territory over the course of more than two thousand years. An ecosystem transformed by the industrial revolution which made primary activity less profitable and therefore unattractive on a social level. This phase has also now come to an end and even more radical changes await us, due to the outsourcing of the economy, globalization and the automation of production processes. Faced with these challenges, an area still rich in historical and environmental heritage must reinvent its own role. It is up to the institutions, social groups and associations that represent them to look for new paths, without forgetting the heritage of a community that scholars, students and enthusiasts have tried to tell.
