The volume, of a purely scientific nature, focuses on the analysis of the excavation data and the materials of the settlement of the Urban Fort in order to bring the results of the excavation campaigns to the attention of the general public, carried out from 1992 to 1996 with a revived in 2004, to which the Municipality of Castelfranco dedicated a special exhibition. The materials found, relating to an Etruscan settlement active between the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries BC, are characterized by the presence of purified gray ceramics with forms that belong to the repertoire of contemporary fine ceramics, especially the purified and attica. The presence of non-Etruscan traditional materials should also be noted, perhaps to be related to the abandonment of the site and the arrival of Celtic populations, which could constitute the first material support for the famous story, so far only documentary, of Forum Gallorum.
