Description
The volume inaugurates the updated scientific edition of the excavations of the necropolis of Ialysos conducted first by the Italian Archaeological Mission and then by the Superintendency during the occupation of Rhodes, in the years from 1916 to 1934. It considers the tombs datable to the protogeometric and geometric period (X -XNUMXth century BC); thanks to the liberality of the Greek archaeologists it takes into account the results of their excavations, and proposes to define the physiognomy of Ialysos in the context of the other contemporary sites of the Dodecanese, Greece, Cyprus and the Near East.
