In 1962 Giuliana Riccioni brought to light the Roman complex of the three domus in the area of the former Vescovado in the center of Rimini. In that emergency situation (the building, bombed in the Second World War, would have been demolished and replaced by a condominium) the only information on the excavations came from brief information and from a single, but exhaustive, preliminary report by Riccioni. The complete edition was therefore entrusted to the care of Luisa Mazzeo Saracino, who takes up the news of the time, integrating them with important new research: examination of the architectural structures, reworking of notes and measurements of the site, drawings of the mosaics, revision of archive data and photos, and finally archaeometric analysis of the most representative materials. With the support of an impressive graphic and photographic apparatus, the volume opens up new perspectives on the production, commercial and daily aspects of Ariminum, thanks to the extreme scientific rigor of the research.
