Description

This publishing initiative was promoted in an abridged version in the book The Augusta Bagiennorum theater. From the study of the remains to the reconstructive hypothesis of the architectural project. The DVD concludes the entire research project aimed at restoring the main buildings that were built in the ancient Roman city proposed by Maria Crsitina Preacco, an official of the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage until 2013.

Eduardo Rulli, architect, specialist in Architectural and Landscape Heritage, he works as a freelance in the field of architectural and archaeological survey. He collaborates with the Archaeological Superintendency of Piedmont dealing with the graphic reconstruction of architectural decorative finds. He has conducted research with the Polytechnic of Turin on stone materials from the Roman period found in Bene Vagienna, Asti, Alba and, with the University of Trieste found in Aquileia. He took part in the Italian Archaeological Mission in Hierapolis of Phrygia, in charge of the survey and graphic rendering of buildings of the ancient city using BIM technology in archeology.

Massimo Limoncelli, archaeologist, teaches Virtual Archeology at the ISUFI High School of the University of Salento and 3D Digital-Computer Modeling Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce. Participates in excavations and restorations with Italian research institutes (CNR-Ibam, University of Salento, Calabria, Bari, Naples, Venice) and foreign (Deutsches Archaologisches Institut Rom, Universitat Zurich, Institute of Fine Arts of New York, University of Texas); he has conducted research in Virtual Archeology in the Mediterranean, in particular in Hierapolis di Phrygia (Turkey), Dime (Egypt), Leptis Magna (Libya), Nabeul (Tunisia), Rome, Selinunte and Metaponto.
