The volume consists of the study of the production plant in Carlino (Udine), the subject of a heated scientific debate starting from the news of the first discoveries in 1971. The discovery of the site in fact proved to be fundamental in the field of research on the ceramic productions of Late Roman age, especially the glazed ones. Thanks to the in-depth and careful examination of documents and materials made by the AA. it is possible to follow the plant phases and to know in depth the type of tableware. The military destination of the production, although, for now, remains unproven, expands the well-known role played by Aquileia in defenses during late antiquity. A particular production so far little attested in the region which is analyzed with the utmost scientific rigor.
