Description

With contributions by Francesca Bulgarelli, Elena Calandra, Stefano Maggi, Paolo Massara, Silvana Miranda, Cristina Troso.

This volume collects a miscellany of contributions in the field of sculpture and iconology of Cisalpine Gaul. A fruitful relationship was established between the Universities of Bologna and Pavia at the end of the 1982s in the study of Roman materials from the Po Valley, a joint work which, with official programming since XNUMX, studied various aspects of the archaeological problems relating to the Po Valley. . The Institute of Ferrara and the Institute of Archeology of the University of Milan soon joined the activity. The societas studiorum thus formed was able to extend the previous research program in several directions, enriching it with new fields of study and important discoveries, as documented by the texts in this volume.
