It does not want to be, both in terms of style and historiographical approach, a popular narrative nor does it want to appear as a specialist study for professionals only. On the contrary, it intends to address that vast public that in a work of this kind seeks an in-depth, but not specious, exposition, free from sophisms and critical orientations, and rich in documentary elements capable of offering new interpretations, food for thought. and interpretative suggestions. The entire structure of the work is based on an articulated and careful "reconstruction" project of the territorial reality including, in addition to the city, which was the capital of a large district for centuries, also Gardone Riviera and Roè Volciano who shared the parish in the period medieval and the folds of many events.
